What ReferralRight is

ReferralRight helps a patient's physician and dentist coordinate a referral. A patient can ask their own clinician for a referral, and clinicians can compose, sign and track referrals to each other. It is free, with no account.

Not medical advice, not a medical provider

ReferralRight is a coordination tool. It does not diagnose, treat or give medical advice, and it does not decide whether a referral is appropriate. Every referral is reviewed, written and signed by a licensed clinician. In an emergency, call 911.

What a request does and does not do

Asking for a referral sends a secure link to the clinician you name. It does not guarantee that the clinician will respond, agree, or treat you, and it does not create a clinician-patient relationship. The clinician decides.

Your responsibilities

Give accurate information, name only clinicians you actually see or intend to see, and use your own details. Do not use ReferralRight to send false requests or to contact people who have not agreed to be contacted by you. Clinicians are responsible for the clinical content they enter and sign.

Using ReferralRight through AI assistants

If you use ReferralRight inside an AI assistant, the assistant gives you a link to our secure page. Enter your personal details on that page, not in the chat. The assistant and its provider are separate from ReferralRight and are governed by their own terms and policies.

Cost

ReferralRight is free to patients, physicians and dentists. We will not charge you to ask for or send a referral.

Privacy

How we handle information is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

Availability and changes

We provide ReferralRight as is, and it may be unavailable or change. We may update these terms; the date below shows the current version. Using the service after a change means you accept it.

Limits of liability

To the extent the law allows, ReferralRight is not liable for indirect or consequential harm, or for decisions made by clinicians or patients using the service. Nothing here limits rights the law does not allow us to limit.
